There is a report of a problem like this, related with a wrong binary
executable permissions of oracle.

Try "chmod 6751 $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle"

Anyway, this means installation was not performed correctly.

Hello,

I installed Oracle 9.0.2.1 on my Linux Box. And till now erverything went
OK. But no I habe a Problem:
I installed Oracle with user oracle. When I now use sqlplus to connect to
the Database (sqlplus system/manager) with user oracle is erverything fine.
But when I tried with another linux user to connect I get the following
errors:
ERROR:
ORA-01034 (See ORA-01034.ora-code.com): ORACLE not available
ORA-27123 (See ORA-27123.ora-code.com): unable to attach to shared memory segment Linux Error: 13:
Permission denied

What I'm doing wrong`?
